Colposcopy, a non-surgical diagnostic tool performed with the colposcope, is among the gynecological operations used to further examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva when an abnormal Pap smear is seen. It is a simple, non-surgical, diagnostic operation.

Pelvic Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is a surgical procedure usually performed under general anesthesia, but can also be performed with other types of anesthesia that allows the patient to remain conscious. Typical pelvic laparoscopy involves a small (1.5 - 2 cm) incision in the belly button or lower abdomen. In the pelvic laparoscopy procedure, tissue samples can be taken, scar tissue can be removed, your uterus can be repaired or your ovaries can be removed, depending on your disease state.
